Sustainability
A Strap.ie, we believe that one of the most effective ways to be sustainable is simply to make things last longer.
Electronic waste is one of the fastest-growing environmental issues globally. Every time a smartwatch hits the pavement because of a flimsy strap, or a screen cracks because it lacked a protector, it risks becoming e-waste.
Our approach to sustainability is rooted in prevention and longevity. We provide the accessories you need to protect your investment, keeping your devices on your wrist and out of the landfill for as long as possible.
How we are doing our part
- Protection = prevention: A high-quality strap ensures your watch stays securely fastened, while our durable screen protectors and cases defend against the drops, bumps, and scratches of daily life. Extending the lifespan of your device is the smartest eco-choice you can make.
- Reviving older models: We deliberately stock accessories for a wide range of older smartwatch models. You shouldn't be forced to upgrade a perfectly good watch just because the original manufacturer stopped making replacement straps for it.
- Thoughtful packaging: We know that e-commerce creates a lot of packaging waste. To help minimize our footprint, the parcels we use to ship your orders are made from recycled paper materials, drastically reducing the need for single-use plastics. The same is true for the product itself inside the parcel: our goal is making sure that it gets to you safe and sound, without excess material used.
- Carbon-neutral web operations: The internet requires a massive amount of energy to run. We are proud to say that the carbon footprint of our website operations is officially offset and certified carbon-neutral.
We aren't perfect, and the retail industry still has a long way to go, but we are committed to taking practical, steady steps toward a smaller footprint—starting with protecting the tech you already own.
